Passive Fire Protection

Passive Fire Protection attempts to contain fires or slow the spread through compartmentalization of the overall building such as fire-resistant walls, floors and doors.

This stops or limits the spread of fire from the room of origin to adjacent areas, providing vital extra time for safe occupant evacuation and emergency response.

Passive Fire Protection

Other examples of Active Fire Protection are:

  • Penetration Seals
  • Fire Doors
  • Structural Fire Protection
  • Fire Barrier Systems
  • Fire Curtain Systems
